Dear friends! It’s so exciting for us to have arrived at our 5th Annual Benefit!!! These occasions are so lively, stirring and fun , and bring out so many community supporters of The Morningside Players. We get galvanized and inspired each year - and the proceeds are crucial to help us put on the ambitious productions that have won awards and such a strong, loyal following.
2012’s Benefit brought us David Rimmer’s powerful New York – exploring the ramifications of 9/11 on New Yorkers, 2013 our revue of Broadway stars, 2014 the concert of our own and guest opera stars, and in 2015 we presented 15 terrific women’s stories - In Our Own Words. Feb. 27 will be another first for us – Stand up Comedy! Please join our host Sean C Turner (who was superb as Bono in our AUDELCO Award winning Fences) and star comedienne Sharon Hansome (aka Passion!) for a hilarious cabaret style night of food, drink and comedy!
